Happy New Year! In this article I want to give you some planning tips and free planning resources. It’s time to plan the new year ahead and create a new you for 2020!
The new year period of early January is an exciting time of the year. There is a wonderful sense of newness. Last year is done and dusted. It’s over. Last year’s diary can now be consigned to the bookshelf (I find a physical diary much more satisfying than and a digital one!). You have a new diary in front of you with a lot of blank spaces. What will you do and where will you go? What will you achieve in the year ahead? This time next year you will be reflecting back on 2020 – what do you want to have done and how do you want to feel this time next year?
Reflection
Look back at 2019. How did it start out? Probably with a lot of enthusiasm just like you are feeling now. But how did the year go? What went right? What didn’t go according to plan? How can you avoid the mistakes of 2019 and improve things in 2020? What can you do differently and better in 2020? These are important questions as we set out to avoid the mistakes of the past and make improvements for the year ahead.

My own plans
As for my own plans I am still working away each morning on my new course ‘Goal Setting 101: How to Set and Achieve Goals‘. I had wanted the course to be ready for the new year but it will not be. I am working away on the course on a daily basis and it will be ready when it is ready. There is quite a lot of work involved in course creation but I am enjoying every minute. It will be well worth the effort when completed. I would much rather produce an excellent course than keep to an unrealistic deadline I had set for myself!
Best wishes for 2020 to you and your loved ones,
Tom Carroll
